   I go there to talk to my friends, mainly the ones that i don't see in school; play game; and take quizzes.

   I sometimes go there to read stories that others wrote to pass my time.

   It's an art community with lots of pictures that others drew/created. i go there to get ideas and inspirations.

   This is a search engine that i use whenever i want to search stuff up.

Effects and issues of computer games

For me, i go on the Internet about 24/7, bu there's never been a problem as in addicted to games. I don't usually play games online since I go on the computer just to chat with friends and watch videos. Although my parents are complaining with the amount of time that i spend on the computer, they thinks that should spend most of my time studying, not chatting. So now i use most of my time online do my homework and then ask my parents f i could play around. They usually would say yes when they don't need me to babysit my brother. as for games. they gets upset whenever i play because they're afraid that i would be addicted to it, so i don't ever play a game unless I'm really really bored. As well, my dad always tells me to learn some "skills" like movie maker and so rather than just playing around, but i don't usually do that. Usually, i can go on the computer for a little while when I'm done my homework.

Take your kids to work day

For my take your kids to work day, I went to a small clothing factory with the name A. Y. Wear. Inc, with my mom's friend- Cathy. I went with her and not my parents because my dad doesn't work here. Throughout the day, I helped with office jobs like organised the files, photocopied sheets, rolled up tapes, make samples and even some phone calls. As well, i went to the back of the factory and saw how things worked, and well... mostly explored the factory. I found that the office was really busy, and everybody's grasping onto every minute just so they could get a bit of the work done. The building was very small, and it was CROWDED with stuff, binders, samples and waste paper! In my future, I could not, NOT find myself in this kind of position. It doesn't interest me, I don't like a career in business or managing. Although I wouldn't work in this field, i think that coming to this job was really a different experience. I saw how hard people struggles just to make a living, and the amount f effort and energy they put into their work was unbelievable! When i was there, everybody were really friendly towards me and showed me stuff. I also helped them organise the workplace and cleaned up a bit. In my opinion, it wasn't a fun experience but it wasn't that bad either. Although next time if i had a different choice, i would choose to go to another workplace!

Aliens!!!

I think that with the technology today, people can be fooled with aliens and hoax, because of all computer programs that we have, anything can be possible just with a magical touch on the computer. Now, when we go to the movies, or a hunted house, there's always monsters, vampires, as well as a lot of special effect added in. Like horror movies, people watch it knowing that these things doesn't exist, but they look so real that in our mind we already had believed for them to be real. You can film a video saying there are aliens coming, and then upload them online and add effects to it in the background. Nobody would know that they're fake. So nowadays, there are a lot more fake footage out on the Internet. Usually, f it's coming from the media or authorities, they will have more influence on people that the ones individuals has.

First Entry

Hi, this is my first entry regarding my current computer skills. I'm not really good with computers, since most of what i do on the computer are just chatting with my friends, and go surfing the web. I'm not a fast typer, and i usually prefer to write by hand, so i don't get a lot of practice. Although I'm hoping to improve my typing skills and this year.

As for e-mails, chatting and word processing, i know how to use them and do use them very often. I also know how to use all the Microsoft office tools such as word and power point. But for the others like dreamweaver or creating a website, or making a movie, i would not know how to. I would call myself a fast learner, and if someone taught me all those skills, i think then i would know how to use them.

I feel that already, since the short amount of time in my BTT class, i've learned a lot about computer, programs, and photoshop, and i find them quite fun to learn them. So in the near future, i will do my best in hoping to learn more about computers! xD
